Serenity

"Breathing in, I see myself as still waters. Breathing out, I reflect things as they are."

Have you ever caught something that happened to you didn’t go your way, where things didn't go as planned, upset you for some reason, or being bipolar?

Whenever your mind is busy there is one reason for it. You’re not living in the moment and accepting reality as it is. When I'm upset about something. I'll try to change it by either thinking about it over and over again hoping to make it better, or I’ll try to push it out of my minds by thinking or doing something else. I don’t want to feel it, it sucks.

Everyone seeks peace and harmony, because these are what we lack in our lives. From time to time we all experience suffering(don't you feel it?). We all experience pain and sorrow. Usually ,I try to quiet the mind and stop reacting. Spend time doing something I love. Such as a hobby, reading, listening your favorite music, etc. Or, spend quiet time alone, to relax my body and mind, even only for a few minutes and I know, I can't afford more :P

Sadness may frequent our life often or visit your weeks sometimes, either way a quick exit from these over stressful times is needed. Just think of living up to the fullest extent this very minute. Don’t hold a grudge, have no regrets, because you only have one life to live.

I really liked this post. I think people tend to hold on to sadness more than anything. Why can't we hold on to the happiness in our lives? I think I need to allow serenity to find me, because I don't think I'll ever find it since when I try to look for it, I'm pushing away my other emotions instead of actually moving on.

thanks. I know it's hard. maybe you could try to tell God in prayer what you feel you need or want. if your request is according to his will, you will receive it. If not, you know his way is best :P

I know:( I should've told you I changed my link! But yeah, birthday's are exciting!

Definitely. I actually just did that, & I feel better. I know He will lead me in the right direction.

i found solace in music and dancing in the rain. and if the rain isn't falling then i'll dance in the bathroom. there more than 10 ways to seek solace and happiness in life. instead of avoiding the main cause of your sadness, try resolving it. because only then will you truly find peace. :))

I agree with your idea of living every moment to the fullest extent of which it can possibly be lived. Even though I am sad sometimes, there are so many things I want to do in my life and I shouldn't waste precious time being depressed when I could be working on my bucket list! I need to get better habits as far as this...
Uh I love your blog! It's always so uplifting :)

I love how you started off the post with the quote, it's a great start and echo with the rest of the post well.

and you are just so right there, we only got one live, so we got to taste every single sense of it :)

I totally agree with you. Very much indeed. What I usually tend to do, is not holding on to sadness but holding on to "What if things had happened this way" or "Why can't things be this way" even though I know exactly that things SHOULDN'T be this way. Reading and sewing really get be back on the right "though - track" =)

it might be the worst feeling ever, when something doesn't go your way and afterwards you can't help thinking about all the "what if's" and "could-have-been's". I often wish I could just shut off my restless brain in times like that, you just have to try and take your mind of the thing that's bothering you. It'll pass with time, just like everything else does, so I try to wait it out and console myself thinking that everything happens for a reason :)

Love this post, it made me really think! And that first pic reminds me of an editorial Drew Barrymore did underwater.
